James L. “Jimmie” Ruddy, 88, of Troy, Kansas passed away Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his home. 
James was born on February 3, 1928 in Atchison, Kansas to James G. & Margaret J. (Gray) Ruddy. 
Jimmie was a graduate of the Moray Grade School & Troy High School. 
He was a member of the St. Charles Catholic Church of Troy, Troy Army National Guard for 12 years, a Charter member of Troy Lions Club, REA board, Zoning Board & original #5 Water Committee. Jimmie was a lifelong farmer & an active member of the Troy Booster Club. Jimmie was known to his family & friends as a loving, honest & caring man. He will be greatly missed. 
James married Mary Ruth Herring on December 27, 1950 in Purcell, Kansas. She survives of the home. 
He was preceded in death by his parents. 
Additional survivors; sister; Mary Harrell of St. Joseph, Missouri; 
Brother; Bernard Ruddy of St. Joseph, Missouri; 
Numerous nieces & nephews. 
Funeral Mass: 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 14, 2016 
At the St. Charles Catholic Church in Troy, Kansas 
Rosary: 6 P.M. at the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas, with visitation to follow from 6:30-8. Friends may call after 12 noon Thursday. 
Burial: Mount Olive Cemetery, Troy, Kansas 
Memorials: Troy Ambulance Fund, St. Charles Catholic Church or Donor’s Choice.
