Loren J. Becker, 81, Easton, Kansas died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Golden Living Colonial Manor in Lansing, Kansas.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 31, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Heppler, OSB officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Peter’s and Paul Cemetery, Seneca, Kansas.  Visitation with the family will be Sunday, October 30th, from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion in Atchison and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Loren was born January 30, 1935 in Seneca, Kansas the son of George E. and Josephine Lueb Becker.  He attended St. Peter’s and Paul Catholic Elementary School and graduated from St. Peter’s and Paul Catholic High School in Seneca.

He enlisted in the United States Air Force from May 1955 until his honorable discharge in May 1960. Serving as a mechanic on the B52 Bomber.

Loren was employed as a technician for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for thirty years retiring in 1990.

Loren was a member of the catholic faith.  He was a member of V.F.W. Post #1175 and the Fleming-Jackson-Seever Post #6 of the American Legion both in Atchison, Kansas.

He and Betty Medsker were united in marriage on March 15, 1986 in Atchison, Kansas.  Mrs. Becker preceded him in death on January 1, 2013.

Survivors include two step-daughters, Sandy (Larry) Gilliland, Easton, KS; Pat Goodman, Leavenworth, KS; a sister, Norma G. Quinlan, Seneca, KS; three step-grandchildren, Darren (Debbie) Gilliland, Robert (Marie) Gilliland, Josh (Jill) Goodman, and four great step-grandchildren, Courtney Goodman, Logan Goodman, Erin Gilliland, and Kerry Gilliland.
