Daisy June Pettyjohn, 89, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on December 12, 2016 at the Horton Community Hospital.

She was born on June 16, 1927 in Adams, Nebraska the daughter of Ira and Nellie (Robb) Burke.

Daisy was a homemaker, member of the Muscotah United Church and enjoyed cooking, playing Bingo, sewing and needle point. On February 3, 1947 she married Charles A. Pettyjohn Jr. in Olathe, Kansas. He preceded her in death on January 24, 1998.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley (Swede) Hollis of Horton, Kansas and Peggy (Howard) Lett of Platte City, Missouri; three grandsons; four great grandsons; one great-great granddaughter; numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, stepson, Charles "Buddy" Pettyjohn III, three brothers, Clarence, Harris and Elza Burke; four sisters, May Beatte, Marie Stumbo, Ruth Burke and Mary Jones.

Memorial services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Mission Village Living Center in Horton, Kansas. Memorials may be made to the Horton Community Hospital or the Mission Village Living Center both may be sent in care of the mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Muscotah Cemetery.
