Alma "Jeanne" Jamvold, 92 of Everest, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at the Maple Heights Nursing Center in Hiawatha, Kansas.

She was born on February 14, 1924 in Severance, Kansas the daughter of John and Alma (Cluck) Dittemore.

Jeanne graduated from Severance High School and the Vo-Tech in Topeka, Kansas. She worked as a L.P.N. nurse for the Horton Hospital and Stormont Vail Hospital until she retired. Jeanne was a member of the Everest Christian Church, CWF, O.E.S. Huron Chapter #461 Denton, Kansas and the Everest American Legion Auxiliary.

On June 19, 1941 she married Richard Geiger in Lawrence, Kansas. He preceded her in death on Sept. 15, 1967. She later married Alfred Jamvold on July 9, 1977 in Everest, Kansas. He also preceded her in death on October 1, 2002.

Survivors include a son, Richard (Becky) Geiger Sr. of Everest, Kansas; daughter, Carol S. Monson of Plano, Texas; Step-son, Daryl (Sue) Jamvold of Hiawatha, Kansas; four grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; five step grandchildren and ten step great grandchildren.

She was also preceded by her parents, brother, John Dittemore, sister, Julia McIntyre, step-daughter, Nancy Nelson and son-in-law, Richard Monson.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas. The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 6 to 7:30 P.M. at the mortuary. Burial will be at the Miller Cemetery, Everest, Kansas.
