Vera Eileen Bredemeier

Vera Eileen Bredemeier, 90, of Pawnee City, Nebraska died on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Premier Estates of Pawnee in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Eileen was born on a farm north of Home City, Kansas, to William and Edna Guise Stock. She attended Elliott Country School until the 8th grade. When she was a young woman she worked as a waitress in Belleville, Kansas and also at the Pacific Hotel in Marysville. Eileen married LaVern O. Boehmer on February 11, 1951 at the Winifred Baptist Church in Winifred, Kansas. They lived and farmed north of Seneca until his death on November 26, 1967. She was very active on the farm, helping with the raking and baling of the hay. After LaVern’s death Vera moved into Seneca and worked at Friendly Diner.

On March 2, 1969, Eileen married B.W. Bredemeier in Seneca. The couple lived and farmed north of Seneca for over 30 years. In the mid 1950’s Eileen sold Avon and was a representative for over 20 years and she also sold Tupperware. Eileen enjoyed cooking, crocheting and loved to raise a big garden and canning. Eileen also liked to make wedding cakes for her family.

She was a member of the Frieden’s United Church of Christ and the Seneca BPW.

Eileen is survived by her daughter, Melissa Bredemeier of Pawnee City, Nebraska and a granddaughter, Michaela Bredemeier of Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Funeral services will be conducted by Pastor Jacqueline Lamensky at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Friedens United Church of Christ, west of Bern. Burial is in Church Cemetery.
