Iola Colson, 77 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Monday, December 19, 2016 at Good Samaritan in Auburn, Nebraska.  She was born on February 2, 1939 to Elmer and Lauretta (Skidmore) Colson in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Iola grew up in Pawnee City, Nebraska. 

Iola enjoyed playing bingo, sitting outside, going to church and visiting with family.

She is survived by her children, Carol & Gage Stermensky  of Lincoln, NE, Cathy Beutler of Johnson, NE, and Robert Colson of Hebron NE, Joyce Colson of Lincoln, siblings,   Richard Colson of Oregon, Dale Colson of Beatrice, NE, Sandra Menninga of Summerfield, KS, Roberta Staley and Betty Colson of Tecumseh, NE, Diane Hall of Pawnee City, NE, 13 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lauretta (Skidmore) Colson, brothers, Raymond, Bill, Roger, Elmer, sister Patsy Putman, nephew, Rodney Colson, brothers-in-law Keith Staley,& James Hall,Sr..

Memorial services 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 23, 2016 at the Presbyterian/Christian Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Officiating Reverend Duane Westing.Visitation one hour before services at the Presbyterian/hristian Church.
