Bob O. Boone, 87, of Falls City, NE passed away December 24, 2016. He was born March 3, 1929 at Moline, KS to the late Frank and Lillian (Huffman) Boone.

Bob was enlisted in the U.S. Army from 1948 to 1952.

Bob married Betty A. Stubbs on December 31, 1954 at Platte City, MO. She later passed away on July 2, 2015.

Bob was raised in the Garnett, KS area and graduated from the Rantoul High School in 1948. Following high school he enlisted into the U.S. Army and was stationed in Alaska and Austria. Following his discharge he met his wife in Camden Point, MO and when married eventually established their home in rural Paola, KS working in the oil fields. In 1974 the family moved to Kansas City where Bob worked for Kansas City Southern Railroad until retiring in 1985. Once retired they then moved to Arizona for five years until moving to Falls City in 1990, where the couple has lived ever since. Bob enjoyed fishing and being outside helping neighbors with their yard work.

Bob is survived by his daughter, Bobbi Pickard and her husband Michael of Falls City, NE; brother, Duane Boone of Tuscan, AZ; sisters, Dora Mae Traul of Richmond, KS; Linda Cadwallader and her husband Skip of Richmond, KS; Grandson Michael Selleck and his wife Melanie of Mound City, MO; and granddaughters, Kaite and Morgann Selleck. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, brother Dean, and sister Betty Jo Yackle.

A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dorr and Clark Funeral Home with Pastor Daniel Farley officiation.  Inurnment will be held at the Steele Cemetery

There will be no visitation.
