Richard Boydston

Richard Estell Boydston, 59, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on May 17, 1957 in Humboldt, Nebraska to Estell and Rosetta (Stalder) Boydston.  He was raised in Humboldt where he attended grade school and later graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1975.  After graduation, Richard attended Southeast Community College in Lincoln and graduated with a degree in Automotive Technology in May of 1978.

In the fall of 1975, Richard was united in marriage to Lynn Hunzeker in Humboldt, Nebraska.  To this union a son, Eric Jacob, was born.  They moved to Fort Collins, Colorado where Richard worked at Markley Motors as an ASE Certified Mastertech Mechanic.  The couple would later divorce in July of 1991.  On April 21, 1995, Richard was united in marriage to Jeannine Marie Loomis.  Richard loved Jeeping, boating, quading, family get togethers, and spending time with his kids, sisters, and mother.  He had a big heart and was a great friend because he cared about everyone and was willing to help anybody he could.     

Richard passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at the Bryan LGH Medical Center West in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the age of fifty-nine years, seven months, and five days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister Sharon Moyer, and a niece Dona DeJonge. 

He is survived by his loving wife Jeannine Boydston of Humboldt, NE; son Eric Jacob Boydston and his girlfriend Danielle Riffe of Wellington, CO; step-sons: William Lynn Petty and his wife Allyson of Colorado Springs, CO; Joshua Wayne Petty of Sabetha, KS; special son Chad Lowe of Humboldt, NE; granddaughter Kaitlynn Marie Boydston of Wellington, CO; step-grandson Chris Riffe of Wellington, CO; sisters: Donna Sue Boston and her husband Mike of Lincoln, NE; Eileen Row and her husband Mark of Lincoln, NE; a brother Charlie Boydston and his wife Donna Jean of DuBois, NE; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.


Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska with Pastor Ron Russell officiating.

A register book will be available to sign from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017, at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska.  Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the mortuary.
  
Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.
 
Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
