Paul Christopher “Bud” Zacharias, 56 of Atchison, KS passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Ted Lovelace officiating.  Burial will follow at Round Prairie Cemetery, Leavenworth, KS.  Family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at the funeral home.  Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society and may be sent in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left at www.beckerdyer.com.

Bud was born on November 11, 1960, in Atchison, KS, the son of Elzie and Ramona Rose (Foster) Zacharias, Jr.  He owned and operated his own salvage and metal scraping business.  Bud enjoyed shooting pool, fishing and was a proud member of the NRA. 

Bud married Jeannette Lewis on April 18, 1980.  She survives of the home.  Additional survivors include two sons; James C. Zacharias of the home, Michael W. Zacharias and fiancé Stephanie Pennington, of Atchison, KS, two sisters; Pauline Goodpasture and Charlene Aversman both of Atchison, KS, two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
