Steven Lance Johnson, 59 of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away at his home on Saturday, January 21, 2017 in Pawnee City.  He was born on February 13, 1957 to Ralph and Ramona (Buchholz) Johnson in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

He was raised in Pawnee County and attended school in Table Rock, Nebraska.

Steve married Roseanne “Rose” Reese on September 25, 2001 in Syracuse, Nebraska.

Steve was a truck driver for different companies, then retired from trucking and started working for Pawnee County Roads Department until the time of his death.

Steve loved dogs, helped rescue dogs and loved feeding the birds.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Johnson, wife, Roseanne “Rose” Johnson.

Steve is survived by his mother Ramona Johnson of Table Rock, NE, siblings, Sue Sedersten, Nebraska City, NE, Ralph Johnson of Howells, NE, , Sheila Wenzl of Pawnee City, NE, son Jimmy Johnson of Oklahoma, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Graveside service 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Officiating Reverend Duane Westing. Cremation and a  register book will be available for signing on Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
