Floyd W. “Mike” Peak, 73, Atchison, Kansas died unexpectedly Monday, January 23, 2017 at his home.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ziegler officiating.  Interment will follow in the Alderson Cemetery, west of Atchison.  Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Church and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Online condolences and messages to the family may be left at www.arensbergpruett.com.

Floyd was born March 22, 1943 in Atchison, Kansas the son of Asa W. and Edna Clark Peak.  He attended schools in Atchison, graduating from Atchison High School in 1961.

He was formerly employed at Boeing in Wichita, Kansas then returned to Atchison where he worked as a machinist and in maintenance for Rockwell International for over twenty five years until his retirement.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.  Mike enjoyed woodworking and making several pieces of furniture, reading, fishing and spending time with his family.

He is survived by a sister, Rita M. Watowa, Atchison, KS; two brothers, Robert “Bob” (Teresa) Peak, Atchison, KS; Richard “Dick” Peak, Udall, KS.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Marie Peak; three brothers, Gary Peak, Lloyd Peak and Asa Warden Peak, Jr, and a sister-in-law, Pam Peak.a
