Carol Jean Turner, 56, of Seneca, died February 8, 2017 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Carol was born December 20, 1960 in Connersville, Indiana to Burdette and Marjorie Paris Turner. She attended Connersville High School and graduated in 1978. After school, she went to work at Sanders Grocery Store in Connersville after raising her daughter.

She was a lifelong resident of Indiana before moving to Kansas to be next to her daughter. Carol was a hard-working woman and a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to bake, collect snowmen, clocks and riding on a motorcycle. She loved to spend time with her friends and specially her grandchildren and her cat Freakles Jean.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter Megan (Dan) Thompson of Seneca, a brother Mike Turner of Connersville, Indiana, two sisters Sharon Schlichte of Connersville, Indiana and Lisa Runyon of Taylorville, Indiana, her grandchildren, Danyell R. Thompson of Winamac, Indiana, Klayton E. Thompson of Seneca and Amanda R. Thompson of Seneca.

She also had two special people that called her mom and they were Derek Anderson of Seneca and Amber Rogers of Winamac, Indiana.

The family will visit with friends from 4 to 7 on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. The services will be held at the Lauer Funeral Home at 11 A.M. on February 13, 2017. The burial will be in the Seneca City Cemetery in Seneca.

Memorials are to be designated at a later date.
