Robert (Bob) Lee Dunn, 76 of Atchison, KS passed away February 9, 2017.

Born on April 7, 1940 in Atchison, KS to Edgar and Mary Inez (Stacy) Dunn.  Bob attended Atchison County Community Schools and graduated from ACCHS in 1958.  May of 1963 he was drafted in the US Army and received an honorable discharge in April of 1965.   After the Army he farmed for several years before working for the Ft. Leavenworth Department of Public Works where he retired in 2001.  He worked for Sunrise Homes performing general maintenance duties. Bob enjoyed doing handyman jobs until his health failed.

Bob married Peggy Dunn (later divorced).  Together they had two children, Claire A. Swendson and Corey A. Dunn, deceased.

Bob later married Sandra Snyder Pauly in July, 1987 in Atchison, KS where they resided together.  

Bob was a member of the VFW, the Atchison United Methodist Church, and attended Camp Creek Methodist Church.  He was an avid K-State fan attending both football and basketball games.  He enjoyed the attending the Atchison Catbackers events.  Bob took great pride and joy in his 2004 Ultra Violet Chevrolet SSR.  Bob enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra of nearly 30 years, stepdaughter Heather Pauly (Jason) Cline, stepson Chad Pauly, daughter, Claire Swendson.  Grandchildren Courtney and Carson Cline, and Cale and Trace Swendson. Brother Gene (Dorothy) Dunn.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 14th, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the United Methodist Church of Atchison, 501 Kansas Avenue, Atchison, Kansas. Memorial Service on Wed. Feb. 15, at 10:00 a.m. also at the United Methodist Church of Atchison with inurnment following at Horton City Cemetery.
