Larry Dean Strong, 78, of Salina (formerly of Horton, KS) died February 11 from multiple health issues.

Larry was born May 7, 1938 in Kansas City, MO to John and Mabel Minier Strong and was raised in Highland, Kansas.

He married Deborah Merritt in Los Angeles in 1972, and she survives.  After retiring in Horton, KS, Larry moved to Salina in 2007.  Additional survivors are daughter Deana McMillan (Travis) of Wichita, Ks., twin sister, Linda Streets (Richard) of Slidell, LA, and sister-in-law Roberta Strong of Arlington Heights, IL. And 5 grandchildren.

A celebration of Life will be February 17, 2017 at 1:30 pm at Trinity United Methodist Church in Salina where family will greet friends following the service.

Interment will be February 18, 2017 at 2:00 pm in Highland, KS.   Memorials include Helping Hands Fund, Salina Rescue Mission, or Women Helping Women.
