Kenneth Lane Tilton, 58, of Highland, passed away Monday, March 6, 2017, at Highland Healthcare Center.

Kenny was born to the late Lloyd and Ella Elizabeth Dutton Tilton, January 22, 1959. Kenny lived his whole life in Doniphan County, KS. He graduated from Highland High School in 1978 prior to graduating from Highland Junior College with a degree in agriculture. He helped farm as he was growing up, and later worked at the local grocery store for more than 18 years.

On July 1, 1989, Kenny married Nancy Marie Terry and moved into Highland. Kenny participated in many community projects, loved airplanes, music, woodworking, making cotton candy, and above all, enjoyed making others laugh. He was a longtime member of United Methodist-Presbyterian Church of Highland.

Survivors include his wife Nancy of the home; (his pride and joy) daughter Ashley Marie Tilton of St. Joseph, MO; his sister Ellen Buser (Bob) of Sabetha, KS, and many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services planned for 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 8, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland, with Pastor Jerry Petering officiating. Private inurnment at a later date at Highland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Wednesday.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Highland United-Methodist Presbyterian Church, sent in care of the funeral home.
