Ervin Clarence Bergman

Ervin Clarence Bergman, 71, of Topeka formally of St. Benedict, Kansas, died on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.

Ervin was born December 24, 1945, in Axtell, Kansas, to Arthur L. and Helen Schmitz Bergman. Ervin attended St. Mary’s School and graduated in 1963. He helped his father on the family farm while he was in school. After he graduated from high school he went to work for Goodyear, for a few years, before he returned to St. Benedict. He went to work for the Nemaha County Coop, driving a grain truck along with helping on the family farm.

Ervin was a member of St. Mary’s Church at St. Benedict.

Ervin enjoyed Bowling, Hunting

Survivors are three brothers, Eugene (Sonya) Bergman of Mayetta, Robert (Mary Jo) Bergman of Widefield, CO and Galen (Betty) Bergman of Seneca; a sister, Maxine (Mike) Becker of Topeka, KS; and many nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be prayed at 2 PM on Sunday, March 26th at Lauer Funeral Home in Seneca. Mass of Christian burial will be 10:30 AM on Monday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Church in St. Benedict.
