Jack L. Anderson, 78, of Hoyt, KS passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at his home. He was born February 1, 1939 in Holton, KS the son of Stanley A. and Geneva L. (Whiting) Anderson.

Jack graduated from Denison High School in 1957. He had lived in the Hoyt community since 1972. Jack worked as a meat cutter in north Topeka and has also worked in Nebraska and Missouri. He was a member of the Union Local #576.

Jack married Charlene Pappan on February 1, 1958 in Holton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include 2 sons, Gary Anderson (Leslie) of Meriden, KS and Doug Anderson (Brandy) of Netawaka, KS; a sister, Barbara Miller of Denison, KS; 5 grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Kacie, Taylor and Colt and 5 great-grandchildren, Kadyn, Paisley, Camden, Hoyt and Axel.

Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Denison Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
