David Brice Keating, 53, of Soldier, KS passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home after a courageous battle with kidney complications. He was born March 16, 1964 in Liberal, KS the son of Robert Dale and Sharen Jane (Riney) Keating.

He graduated from Liberal High School in 1982 and attended vocational school studying for diesel mechanic, welding and heating and air conditioning. David owned and operated along with his wife, Paula, Keating Farms for over 25 years; raising cattle and working crops.

David married Paula Gene Wells on August 20, 1994 in Liberal, KS. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his parents, Robert and Sharen Keating of Liberal, KS; 2 sons, Dakota Keating (Michaelis) and Matthew Keating both of Soldier, KS; a sister, Catherine Schlegel of Kansas City, KS and his in-laws, Paul and Nina Wells of Soldier, KS.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Dale Keating.

A Memorial Service will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the Soldier Christian Church. Family will greet friends from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. Monday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
