Kenneth W. Moppin Sr., 79, of Severance, Kansas passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at his home.

Kenneth was born on November 8, 1937 in Troy, Kansas to Lloyd & Martha (Thornton) Moppin.Kenneth was a mechanic, working for Fruit Haul Trailers & Hoosier Water Company in Indiana for 30 years. He moved back to Severance & worked for Atchison Casting. Kenneth enjoyed working with his honey bees, hunting, fishing & loved to mow grass.

Kenneth married Joyce Ann Adkins on March 20, 1965 in Blair, Kansas. She survives of the home.He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Eugene Moppin, brothers, Robert & Paul Moppin & a sister, Esther Coats. Additional survivors: children, Kenneth Moppin Jr.(Hazel), Indiana Betty Bolin (Steve), Indiana Thomas Moppin (Shelly), Indiana Floyd Moppin, Severance Glenda Arant, Severance Brothers, Gary & Roy Moppin, St. Joseph Sister, Ilene Rich, Savannah Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces & nephews

Funeral Service: 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, October 31, 2017 At the Harman-Rohde Funeral Home in Troy, Kansas. Visitation: 6-8 Monday evening at the funeral home, where friends may call after 12 noon Monday.
