Cindy Marie McCray, 52 years old, of Atchison, Kansas, passed away unexpectedly on November 9, 2017 at her home.Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Seth Montgomery, Pastor of the Lancaster United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Vernon Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be Monday, Nov. 13th from 6:30 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Cindy was born November 19, 1964 in Smithville, Missouri the daughter of Terry and Rose Marie (Dittemore) Hennis. She attended Lancaster Elementary and graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1982. She and Terry P. McCray were united in marriage on June 21, 1985 in Lancaster, Kansas.Cindy was employed for twenty-four years as a dental assistant. She was employed for eight years with Dr. Allen Reavis at Atchison Dental Associates, for two years with Dr. Brunker in St. Joseph, Missouri, and for the last fourteen years was working with Dr. Steven Hoerath.

Cindy is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Terry McCray, of the couple’s home in Atchison, three sons, Anthony (Arielle) Stephenson, Parkville, MO, Jeremy Stephenson, Atchison, KS, Cody (Erica) McCray, Kansas City, MO, two brothers, Kenneth (Diane) Mansil, Olathe, KS, Gilbert Mansil, Ithaca, NY, three sisters, Kathy (Richard) Zishka, Lancaster, KS, Terry Lynn (Allen) Harries, Marysville, MO, a sister-in-law, Debbie Mansil, Gladstone, MO Shellie (Thomas) Cook, Alaska, six grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, Terry and Marie Hennis, and a brother, Steven Wayne Mansil.
