Cynthia R. “Cindy” Stewart, 55, of Atchison KS died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2017 at the Atchison Hospital.

Memorial services will be 6:30 pm on Thursday, Dec. 21st, 2017 at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home with visitation to follow. Burial of cremated remains will be at a later date at the Oak Hill Cemetery, Atchison. Condolences to the family may be left online at www.beckerdyer.com.

Cynthia Miller was born on June 3, 1962 in St. Joseph, Mo the daughter of Robert and Gloria (Dever) Miller. She attended Troy High School and lived and worked in the Troy area for several years. Cynthia attended the Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Technical School in Atchison in the Medical Assistants Program. She was employed at Plasma-Biological Services as a processor for seven years. Cindy enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, cooking and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid Chief’s fan.

She was married to Kenneth Stewart on Feb. 15, 1980 in St. Joseph; MO. Mr. Stewart survives of the home. Additional survivors include a son, Kenneth Stewart, Jr, Atchison and a daughter, Christy Pennington, Bendena, KS, a sister, Tess (Bryan) Wagner, Platte City, MO and three grandchildren, Cayden, Gwen, and Weston. Her parents preceded her in death.
