Lee Robert Moege, 79, of Holton, KS passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 in Holton, after a courageous battle with cancer, his family by his side.

He was born September 13, 1938 in Topeka, KS, the son of Cedric Carl Theodore and Wilma Virginia Maxine (Lane) Moege.

Lee graduated from Topeka High School in 1956 and attended Washburn University; earning his Associates Degree in Industrial Manufacturing Engineering. He lived in the Holton area since 1984 and previously in Wabaunsee County, KS.

Lee worked for Balderson, Inc. as an Industrial Engineer for 13 years and also he worked for Alamo Group in Holton. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and Holton Country Club.

Lee married Sally Sue (Bundy) Sutton on September 26, 1982 in McFarland, KS. She survives of the home. Other survivors include a son, Kevin Moege (Deanna) of Paxico, KS; a daughter, Elizabeth Flach (Paul) of Paxico, KS; a sister, Virginia Chang (Ruu) of Wakarusa, KS; 8 grandchildren, Jason Zeller, Lindsey Zeller Strickland, Dean Moege, Kyle Moege, Kameron Moege, Alicia Flach, Chelsea Reyes and Armando Reyes and 5 great-grandchildren, Jack and Ben Zeller, Ky & Aurora Murphy and Unique Gomez.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Nancy Jane Moege Zeller in 2004; a step-daughter, Teresa Sutton Reyes in 2010 and a sister, Alicia Jane Donnelly.

Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton. Family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday at Mercer Funeral Home.
