E. Marie Riley, 83, Winchester, KS, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2018 at F.W. Huston Senior Living Center in Winchester.

Marie was born December 15, 1934 on her grandparents farm near Winchester, the daughter of Charles McNeel “Bill” and Hazel “Zoe” Curry Fulton.

She was a 1952 graduate of Winchester High School. She served as an Administration Clerk at the Jefferson County Memorial Hospital in Winchester, Memorial Hospital in Topeka and the Jefferson County Health Department in Oskaloosa before her retirement.

She was an active member of the Winchester United Methodist Church, where she served on numerous committees, including United Methodist Women, Vacation Bible School and Bible Study. She was also a volunteer for Jefferson County Friends of Hospice, a 4-H leader, and formerly served as a Winchester City Council member.

Marie was a loyal devoted fan and supporter of all Jefferson County North activities and was most proud of her family. She married Raymond E. Riley on June 14, 1952 in Winchester and together they made their home there for 65 years. Raymond survives at the home.  Marie and Raymond had six children, two preceded her in death, Janet Lynn Riley in 1961 and Paul E. Riley in 1972.

Survivors include, one son, Tom (Lisa) Riley, Emporia, three daughters, Bev (Tom) Schuler, Meriden, Mary Ann (Greg) Noll, Winchester, Debra (David) Schuler, Winchester, 11 grandchildren, Erin (Jeff) Rodriguez, Derek Riley, Scott Schuler, Kevin (Susan) Schuler, Janelle (Chris) Harper, Alisha (Roger) Elliott, Eric (Danielle) Noll, Zach (Kacie) Noll, Kristin (Bobby) Kramer, Kimberly (Brian) Lackey, Kelsey (Phillip) Strozier and 20 great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Jim Fulton.

Services will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at Winchester United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Cemetery. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at Winchester United Methodist Church.
