Joseph "Joey" Raymond Ramirez, 24, of Horton, Kansas passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018 in Topeka, Kansas.

He was born on March 7, 1994 in Hiawatha, Kansas the son of Sam and Ramona Greene Ramirez. Joey worked for the City of Horton in the water and waste manage  and as a tile installer in Oklahoma. He was a member of the Kickapoo Tribe.

Survivors include his father, Sam Ramirez of Horton, Kansas; two sons, Savior Thomas Ramirez and Justice Thomas Ramirez both of Mayetta, Kansas; daughter, Athena Thomas Ramirez of Mayetta, Kansas; sister, Madelyn Horn of Eugene, Oregon; two brothers, Ryan Green of Powhattan, Kansas and Jonathan Ramirez of Horton, Kansas.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Ramirez and a sister, Audrey Ramirez.

Native American Church services will be at 6:00 P.M. on Friday, June 8, 2018 at Wayne Jessepe's Home on the Kickapoo Reservation. Burial will be on Saturday morning at the Old Dance Ground Cemetery in Mayetta, Kansas. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
