Kenneth Edie, 93, of White Cloud, KS died early Sunday morning, October 28, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family.

Kenneth was born August 11, 1925 in Wheeler Grove, Iowa to Archer and Lena Mae Smith Edie. He joined the United States Navy and served during WWII. Kenneth married Esther Louise Rodecap January 22, 1946 in Troy, KS. She preceded him in death in 1998.

He worked for Armour in St. Joseph, MO for years before retiring.

Kenneth was a member of the White Cloud Christian Church and the White Cloud American Legion Post #154. He enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, and hunting coyotes.

He is survived by his children, Kathy (Pat) Leeper of White Cloud, KS; Mary (Walt) Scott of Hiawatha, KS, Kenneth Lee (Glenda) Edie, Ronnie (Jama) Edie of White Cloud, KS, and Gary Edie of St. Joseph, MO; brother Joe Edie of Highland, KS; sister in laws, Lois Elrod and Gloria Waggoner both of White Cloud, KS; 16 grandchildren and several great and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant baby Connie Sue Edie; daughter Brenda Trainer; granddaughter Jenny Sue Edie; great grandson John Paul Jenkins; sisters Violet Ptomey and Ethel Alfrey; and a sister in law Barb Edie.

Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at the White Cloud Christian Church. Chuck Crawley will officiate. Interment will follow at the Olive Branch Cemetery in White Cloud, KS.

Friends may call at the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home in Highland, KS after 10 a.m. Monday, October 29, 2018 where the family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. that evening.
