Darrel Dean Morgan, 80, of Denison, KS, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka. He was born August 25, 1938 in Corning, KS, the son of Harold Robert and Gladys Alberta (Conklin) Morgan.

Darrel graduated from Circleville High School in 1956. He proudly joined the Army National Guard from 1956 to 1962 where he earned the rank of Sergeant. Darrel worked for DuPont in Topeka for 30 years, retiring in 1995.

He was a member of the Jackson County Sheriff’s Posse and Holton Saddle Club.

Darrel married Mary Margaret Billman on February 14, 1956 in Holton, KS; they celebrated 62 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Mary “Marge” of the home; a daughter, Cindy A. Morgan (Larry) of Denison, TX; a son, Rodney D. Morgan of Denison, TX; a sister, Betty Fowler of DeKalb, IL; daughter-in-law, DeAnn (Morgan) Jackson; 8 grandchildren, Jeff, Luke, Billie, Amanda, Markie, Lacey, Joseph and Sierra and 23 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Mark E. Morgan; sister, Lila Jones and brother, Lloyd Morgan.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2018 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.
