Tamara Louise Boatright, 61, of Muscotah, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 from a stroke at the Mosaic Life Care Center in St. Joseph, Missouri after being life flighted Sunday afternoon on May 5th.

She was born on March 25, 1958 in Atchison, Kansas the daughter of John and Judith La Joie Brown. Tamara graduated from A.C.C.H.S. in Effingham, Kansas. She was a homemaker and a devoted mother. On April 9, 1976 she married Gary Boatright in Atchison, Kansas.

Survivors include her husband, Gary Boatright of the home, Muscotah, Kansas; mother, Judith Brown of Muscotah, Kansas; daughter, Jennifer La Joie of Muscotah, Kansas; son, Matthew Boatright of Kansas; four brothers, John Michael Brown of Muscotah, Kansas, James Brown of Sabetha, Kansas, Jeff Brown of Muscotah, Kansas and Danny Brown of Hutchinson, Kansas; 3 granddaughters, Lois La Joie of Muscotah, Kansas, Savannah Boatright and Charlotte Boatright of Petaluma, California.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Brown and her paternal grandparents.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 10:30 until service time. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
