Edith "June" Wolska, 87, of Horton, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at the Maple Heights Nursing Center in Hiawatha, Kansas.

She was born on June 27, 1931 in Lucy, New Mexico the daughter of John and Edith Gumphrey Power.

June moved to Effingham and the Horton area in the late 1950's and she began working at the Horton Garment Factory, for many years at both locations in Horton and Holton. She was a wonderful seamstress. In 1979 she married Alfred Wolska in Suring, Wisconsin. There June worked in a canning factory. They later moved to New Mexico for several years, returning to Horton in the early 90's. Even at her age, she was most remarkable with her crafts. Her most recent endeavor was quilling, the art of curling thin strips of colored paper into artful designs for earrings, Christmas ornaments, and even larger items as a picture portraying "The Last Supper" and a full size women's floppy hat.

She is survived by a son, Bill (Marcia) Williams Jr. of Horton, Kansas; a daughter, Jan Welton of Bolivar, Missouri; five grandchildren, Dustin (Hollie) Williams of Hiawatha, Kansas, Brandon (Audrey) Williams of Portland, Oregon, Sheli (Larry) McKinney of Bolivar, Missouri, Yuovonne (Doug) Wilson of Bolivar, Missouri, and Sabrina Welton of Washington State; twelve great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. 

June was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Alfred in 2006, grandson, Shaun Buser in 1984, a sister and two brothers.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the Dishon-Maple-Chaney Mortuary in Horton, Kansas where the family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time.
