Victor Graybill
Auburn, KS

Victor Eugene Graybill, 65, of Auburn, Kansas passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Stormont-Vail Hospital on Friday, May 24, 2019.

Vic was born to Peggy Hoffman Graybill on June 29, 1953 in Topeka, Kansas. When he was seven years old his mother married Roger Marteny, who raised Vic and his younger brother, Steven Ray, with Peggy.

He attended Morrill and Sabetha schools and then went to work at various jobs to support his family. Vic retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after more than 25 years of employment.

He loved fishing, cars and “junk”! Vic always enjoyed a good story and loved to sit and reminisce.

Vic was preceded in death by his parents, Roger and Peggy Marteny, and his brother Steve.

He is survived by wife, Marilyn of Weatherford, TX; children Kim (Tony) Gudenkauf of Sabetha, Jenny (Loren) Falk of Rossville, Jessica Boos of Auburn, and Gunnery Sergeant Justin Frye (Margarita) of Snead’s Ferry, NC; a brother, Mike (Janelle) Marteny of Falls City, NE and a sister, Julie (Randy) Shafer also of Falls City, NE.

Other survivors include his favorite people in the world, his grandkids: Caleb and Corporal Riley Falk, Jadyn Graybill, Camryn Gudenkauf, Karley and Macie Diehl, and Adelynn, Alondra and Audrey Frye.

Memorial service will be held May 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Auburn Christian Church in Auburn, KS, with inurnment at a later date. Flowers may be sent to 11105 SW 89th St, Auburn, KS 66402. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to United Bank and Trust in Sabetha to be donated to The Albany Historical Society.
