Kimberly Nicole Dixon, 46, a resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed away Monday, June 3, 2019.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 8, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Heppler, OSB as officiant. Interment will follow in Sugar Creek Cemetery, Rushville, Missouri. The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Leukemia Society or Hope Lodge and may be left in care of the Arensberg-Pruett Funeral Home with whom care has been entrusted. Kimberly was born on November 11, 1972 in Abilene, Texas, the daughter of Mary Johanna Betts and James E. Dixon. She attended St. Joseph’s Elementary, graduated from Atchison High School in the class of 1991 and then graduated from Pittsburg State College, Pittsburg, Kansas, with a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.

She was employed as a Clinical Psychologist for the Parsons Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She enjoyed reading, walks on the Wichita River Walk, music and the Renaissance Festival. She belonged to the Society of Creative Anachronism.

Survivors include her mother and step-father, Johanna (Dennis) Thummel, Cameron, MO; father and step-mother, James (Lynn) Dixon, Atchison, KS; brother, James Stewart, Atchison, KS; sister, Jennifer Knight, Leavenworth, KS; a close friend, Lisa Pennington, Colorado; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her cat, Savel.

She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents and an uncle, Louis Betts.
