Dennis Dean Tull
O'Trimble Chapel in Nortonville
Cummings, KS

Dennis Dean Tull, 47, of Cummings, KS lost his battle of brain cancer on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family.

Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Saturday, June 29th, 2019 at the Nortonville Christian Church with Rev. Jim Cormode officiating. Burial will follow in the Nortonville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:30 pm on Friday, June 28th at the Nortonville Pleasant Grove Christian Church. The O’Trimble Chapel, Nortonville is handling the arrangements. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Lancaster Saddle Club, Atchison Hospital Hospice or beheadstrong.org and may be sent in care of the Becker-Dyer-Stanton and O’Trimble Funeral Home. Dennis was born on January 31st, 1972 in Atchison Kansas the son of Beverly (Kirkham-Tull) Nitz and Howard Tull. Dennis graduated from Atchison County Community High School in 1991. He worked construction jobs for Beien Construction, Atchison Castings, Schuetz Locker Plant, Bottoroff Construction, worked as a farrier, worked at Atchison Tubular Services, Premier Fencing, Owen’s and Sons Concrete and many other places. Dennis was a member of the Lancaster Saddle Club and the Giddy Up Gang. He enjoyed training and riding horses, teaching his children and grandchildren how to ride horses, and his sons how to bull ride.

He was married to Angie (Beien) Hughes on Aug 14, 1992. They were later divorced. He was married to Tiffany Goepfert on Nov. 8th, 2004. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include two sons Colton Gabriel, Vandenburg, CA and Canyon Tull, of the home, two daughters Ashley Tull (John Elfrits) Cummings, KS and Brooklyn Rhyne, Manhattan, KS, his mother, Beverly (Skip) Nitz, Cummings, KS and Howard Tull, Farmington, KS, Sisters Kathy Tull (Karrie Eckhardt) Cummings, KS and Stephanie (Duane) Sinclair, Everest, KS, and Kari Turner, Oskaloosa, KS., two brothers Patrick (Shellie) Tull, and Jason (Tiffany) Nitz, both of Cummings, KS, two grandchildren Tyler Elifrits and Jade Elifrits, seventeen nieces and nephews, twenty four great nieces and nephews and one great great niece. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Jack Kirkham and Joseph Tull, grandmothers Betty Kirkham, Blanch Tull, and Annie Lee Kirkham, Aunt Lois Wilbourn and Uncle Donnie Joe Tull , and two great nephews.
