Arthur “Don” Beam, 83, passed away Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at his home in Circleville, Kansas. He was born May 23, 1936, in Richland, Kansas, the son of Ward and Anna (Hackel) Beam.

He graduated 8th grade from Unity Country School, west of Rock Creek, Kansas, before going to work to help his parents support the family. In 1958, he started a 36 year career working for Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company until his retirement in 1994.

On June 5, 1960, he married Deloris VanDonge at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka, Kansas. They were blessed with 3 children; Gary Beam (Jill) of Auburn, Kansas, Denise Wheeler (Denny) of Wetmore, Kansas and Michael Beam (Lesa) of St. George, Kansas.

Don was preceded in death by his parents and parents-in-law, Don and Donna VanDonge; 2 brothers, Ward Lee Beam and Steve Beam; a sister, Vicki Jo Coffman; 2 sisters-in-law, Alice Beam and Daisy Howe and a brother-in-law, Dennis VanDonge.

Survivors include his wife, Deloris; his 3 children and their spouses; 20 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a sister, Karen Baker; a special nephew, David Beam; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, August 2, 2019 at Mercer Funeral Home, Holton, Kansas. The family will receive visitors starting at 9:00 a.m. until the service.
