Kathy Ann Piper, 60, of Huron, KS died on Sat. April 18, 2020 at her home.

Visitation with family will be on Friday, April 24th, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home. The body will be cremated following the viewing and visitation. Friends may also view the body and sign the register book on Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Private family interment will be at a later date. Kathy was born on Oct. 24, 1959 in Atchison, KS the daughter of Delbert and Anna (Wood) Fitkin. She graduated from Atchison High School in 1978 and had attended the Northeast Kansas Area Vo-Tech School for a short time. She had worked as a machine operator for the Atchison Leather Company. Kathy was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed her dogs, reading, sewing, bird watching and growing plants.

She was married to Mark S. Piper on Dec. 15, 1981. Mr. Piper preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2018. Survivors include three sons; Steven Piper, Norton, KS, Luke (Jessica) Piper, Oregon, MO, and AJ Piper, Huron, KS, a sister Tammy Harmon, Kuna, ID and two grandchildren Ethan and Evan Piper, Atchison, KS. and her aunt Irene Wood, Seattle, WA. Her parents, husband Mark, a still-born daughter Sarah Piper, a brother Steven Fitkin, and two twin sisters, Patty and Peggy Fitkin preceded her in death.
