David Roy Baum, 55, of Holton, KS passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his home with family by his side. David fought a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born January 15, 1965 in Topeka, KS, the son of Robert Phillip and Carol Ann (Finn) Baum.

David graduated from Holton High School in 1983 and also attended Washburn University and Emporia State University. He was a Contact Representative for the VA Hospital in Topeka. He had also sold insurance for Farm Bureau Insurance, was a caregiver at Developmental Services and was co-owner of Baum Arms Division/J & L Pawn all in Holton.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Holton and NRA.

David married Pamela Renee Flewelling on August 10, 2012 in Holton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include his mother, Carol Baum of Holton; step-son, Dean Aydlette of Houston, TX; step-daughter, Caycey Wamego (Derek) of Topeka, KS; 2 bothers, Scott Baum (Susan) of Holton, KS and Mike Baum (Ranae) of Topeka, KS; 2 grandchildren, Ellie and McKynzie; 5 nieces and nephews, Mason, Spencer, Regan, Jacob and Zack Baum.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert “Bob” Baum on April 1, 2016.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
