Robert Paul "Sonny" Ross, 86, of Horton, Kansas, formerly of Ohio, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at his home, in Horton, Kansas.

He was born on April 8, 1934 in Van Wert, Ohio, the son of Lorentus Paul and Bertha Irene Vogt Ross. Robert worked as a mechanic for Pike County Highway Department for years, until he retired. Sonny loved spending time with his children and grandchildren, fishing, hunting, playing cards and going to the casino's. On September 21, 1952 he married Norval Combs on September 21, 1952 in Cadue, Kentucky.

Survivors include his wife, Norval Ross of the home, Horton, Kansas; daughter, Judy (Marvin) Stone of Horton, Kansas (Mike & Krissy Stone, Jeremy & Nicola Stone and Melissa; son, Alden (Marjorie) Ross of Robinson, Kansas (Bobby & Clarissa Ross and A.J. & Brooke Ross; son, David Ross of Horton, Kansas (D.J., Sarah & Brett and Angelina); son, Timmy Ross of Sinking Spring, Ohio (Crystal & Nick and Elizabeth & Harry); daughter, Cindy (Rick) Rumfield of Hillsboro, Ohio (Candy & William, Cecelia and Christina & Matt); daughter, Brenda (John) Calhoon of Atchison, Kansas (Daris & Lacey Calhoon, Collin Calhoon and Carlee & Wyatt); daughter, Linda Koelliker of St. Joseph, Missouri (Chris, Matt and Shauna & Levi); daughter, Teresa (Jamie) Quinn of New Vienna, Ohio (James and Tiffany & Chris); daughter, Penny (Ted) Carter of Hillsboro, Ohio (Ashley, Brandon and Dawson); thirty one great grandchildren; three brothers, Toby (Sandra) Ross and Otis (Sandra) Ross both of Tennessee and Lorentus (Cleo) Ross of Florida; sister, Barbara Alcantara of Michigan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, James Ross and three sisters, Delores Hagler, Sylvia McCoig and Margaret Swift.
