Helen Christine Ferguson passed away peacefully at the age of 100 on July 18, 2020 at Medicalodge in Holton, Kansas.

She was born on February 9, 1920 in Oakdale, Illinois, the daughter of Christine and William Ziba.

She graduated from Tipton High School in 1936 and later attended business school in Wichita, Kansas. She worked for Boeing Aircraft until she and her husband moved to the farm in Douglass, Kansas.

Helen married Charles Henry Ferguson on September 21, 1941 in Wichita, Kansas. They celebrated over 56 years of marriage before he passed away on May 9, 1998. Also preceding her was her grandson Christopher Ferguson, and seven siblings.

Helen was a farm wife who loved to raise animals, sew, loved to garden, and travel. She was well known for her homemade noodles and loved to cook for her family and friends. Helen loved sports especially her KU Jayhawks.

She is survived by her daughter, Charlotte Schirmer (Henry) of Holton, KS; a son, Patrick Ferguson of Wichita, KS; 11 grandchildren, Stacy Clifford (Mat) of Tempe, AZ, Amy Truesdale (Dan) of Fort Collins, CO, Betsy Schirmer of Kansas City, KS, Terry Sorensen (Andy) of Topeka, KS, Matthew Schirmer (Christi) of Houston, TX, Jacob Schirmer of New York, NY, Ashley Schirmer of Holton, KS, Joshua Schirmer of Houston, TX, Patrick Ferguson Jr. of Wichita, KS, and Jennifer Ferguson of Wichita, KS; 4 great-grandchildren, Madysen & Macy Sorensen of Topeka, KS, and Niles & Charlee Schirmer of Houston, TX.
