Emily Janae (Collins) Zech, age 32 of Auburn, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2020, at her home surrounded by family.

Survivors include her husband Brian; son Berringer; parents Susan and Bentley Brown of Auburn; Patrick C. and Rochelle Collins of Auburn; parents-in-law Brian and Kim Zech of Nebraska City; sisters Bailey and husband Ryan Aufenkamp, Hannah Brown and significant other Keaton Mason; step-sister Allison and husband Brandon Sullwold; grandpa Marvin Freeman of Rock Port, MO; step-grandparents Diana Brown of Rock Port, MO, Dale and Sheila Fisk of Doyon, ND; grandmothers-in-law Judy and husband Gene Sherbeck of Ravenna, Kathy Wehling of Omaha; sisters-in-law Jen (Jason) DeBuhr, Tara (William) Palensky, Katie Zech; nieces and nephews: Zola Jane Aufenkamp, Logan DeBuhr, Seth Golden, Brooke Golden, William Palensky, Jr., Kennedy Palensky, Easton Palensky; special aunts and uncle: Carol Freeman, Diane and Bobby Ollis; other relatives and many, many friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, September 26, 10:00 a.m., at the Auburn High School Gymnasium, masks and social distancing will be encouraged. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery near Auburn. Visitation will be at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn on Friday, September 25, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., family will greet friends from 6:00 to 8:00.

Memorials are suggested to American Breast Cancer Foundation or family choice.
