Daryl LeRoy Newhart, 63, of Seneca, Kansas formerly of Waterville/ Blue Rapids area passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital.  

Daryl was born on November 13, 1957 in Meshoppen, Pennsylvania, the son of John and Anita (Ervine) Newhart. 

Daryl was a graduate of Elk Lake High School, Dimock, PA.  While living in Kansas he was employed with trailer manufacturing and enjoyed antiquing locally.  He was an avid outdoor sportsman, but his passion was bass fishing where he received many Master Angler awards for his catches.  Daryl was a talented musician who could play any instrument he set his mind to with no formal training. 

Daryl was preceded in death by his parents; and his partner, Jana Jenkins on March 12, 2018.

Survivors include his brother, Roger Newhart Sr, of Rushville, PA; sister, Maggie (Jerry) Haug of Seneca, KS; brother, John Earl (Allison) Newhart of Wyalusing, PA; sister, Eileen (Robert) Brostoski of Belleville, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews

Daryl will lie in state on Sunday, December 27, 2020 and his family will welcome visitors from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Popkess Memorial Chapel in Seneca. Masks are required.
