Everest, KS

Kevin Maurice Gullickson 57, of Everest, Kansas, passed away in Kansas City, KS on December 26, 2020 at the University of Kansas Hospital from complications of COVID 19. He was born in Kansas City, KS on March 26, 1963, the son of Weldon and Margaret Olson Gullickson. The majority of his working years were spent in the pipe industry where he became a leader in his field and respected by all those who worked with him. He was a very devoted Christian man who showed his love for the Lord in everything he did. Kevin was a member of Muscotah United Church.

For past time activities, he enjoyed restoring tractors and camping in his RV with friends and family. Another of his favorite hobbies included traveling with his family and later on in life, a small group of friends. Branson was their most frequented destination because of his love for bluegrass and the Ozarks.

He spent the last 38 years of his life married to the love of his life and best friend, Wanda. They were married on August 13, 1983 in Lincoln, Nebraska. Kevin loved all his children and grandchildren without pause, being the best role model they could have asked for. He will be remembered by countless friends and family as a kind and compassionate man who loved the Lord and his family.

Survivors include his wife, Wanda Gullickson of the home, Everest, Kansas; son, Dustin (Jesslyn) Gullickson of Hiawatha, Kansas; daughter, Caitlin (Collin) Schultz of Wathena, Kansas; three grandchildren, Emma Schultz, Reece Schultz and Cyrus Gullickson; father and mother, Weldon and Margaret Gullickson of Everest, Kansas; two brothers, Ron (Nicki) Gullickson of Dallas, Texas, and Mike (Teresa) Gullickson of Lincoln, Nebraska; sister, Kathy (Mark) Keller of Kansas City, Kansas; father and mother in law, Larry and Bonnie Job of Everest, Kansas; and brother in law, Tod Job of Everest, Kansas.

For the safety of all during this time, no funeral will take place. A small memorial and private burial have been requested by Kevin. Memorials may be made to the Kevin Gullickson memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary. A special message may be sent to the family at www.dishon-maple-chaney.com
