Charlene Helen Aversman, 63, of Atchison, KS, passed away Saturday, December 4, 2021, at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the Becker-Dyer-Stanton Funeral Home, Atchison, KS, with Rev. Russ Copper officiating. Burial will follow at Round Prairie Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Liver Foundation may be sent in care of the funeral home. Charlene was born October 22, 1958, in Atchison KS, the daughter of Elzie and Ramona (Foster) Zacharias. She worked for Atchison Casting, Bradken as a maintenance mechanic for thirty-two years. Charlene was a member of the Church of Nazarene and Steel Workers #6943. She enjoyed animals, baking and decorating cakes, gardening, and music. Charlene’s greatest love was spending time and making memories with family.

Charlene married Terrel Folsom, he preceded her in death on May 11, 1988. She married Gary Aversman in June of 1999; he survives of the home. Survivors include sons, Jeremy and Brandi Folsom, Atchison, KS, Matthew and Shelly Aversman, Atchison, KS, a sister, Pauline Goodpasture, Atchison, KS, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was also preceded by her parents and a brother, Paul Zacharias
