Mary Elizabeth Breitsprecher, 77, of Valley Falls, KS, passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at Anew Healthcare and Rehab Senior Living in Nortonville, KS. She was born March 4, 1946 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of Otto Leo and Mary L. (Boyce) List.

Mary graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1964. She worked 33 years at the State of Kansas for the Department of Revenue in the Motor Fuel Tax Division.

She was a member of Valley Falls Christian Church and life long member of Valley Falls Ladies Auxiliary.

Mary married Melvin F. Breitsprecher on May 26, 1989 in Valley Falls, KS. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2012, after 23 years of marriage.

Survivors include her sister, Helen N. Davis (Ronald) of Nashville, TN; 2 nephews, Jesse Davis (Robin) of Cumberland, RI and Brian Davis (Lydia) of Nashville, TN; 1 niece, Kylee Clement (Eric) of Murfreesboro, TN; 3 great-nephews, William, Colton and Oliver; 2 great-nieces, Penny and Hazel and lifelong friend, Martha Gilleece of Valley Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Leo and Mary List and 2 brothers, Fred and Robert List.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, 2:00 P.M., August 3, 2023 at the Valley Falls Christian Church in Valley Falls, KS with a visitation one hour prior to the service.
