Elizabeth Dunn, 105, of Falls City, NE, passed away August 8, 2023 at Falls City. She was born January 1, 1918 at Humboldt, NE to George and Caroline (Gunzenhauser) Beutler.

She married Dale M. Dunn on November 29, 1944 at Falls City. He passed away June 17, 1974.

Elizabeth was raised in the Humboldt area and she graduated Humboldt High School in 1934. She then started teaching, she was only 16 years old. When married the couple established their home in Falls City. She earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Education from Peru State College in 1969. She then taught in rural schools at Rose Dale, Pleasant Hill, Shubert Public Schools and in District 30 and finally kindergarten at Falls City Public Schools, retiring in 1984. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and the Retired Teachers Association.

Elizabeth is survived by her children, Dianne Dickson and her husband James of Bennington, NE, Michael and his wife Tami of Falls City, six grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister, Catherine Mendenhall.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Lauri Beach officiating. Interment will be in Steele Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 7-8:00 PM at Dorr and Clark Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials be made to Family Choice for later designation.
