Delpha “Lynn” Jerome, 77, of Circleville, KS, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023 at Onaga Hospital, with her husband by her side. She was born August 20, 1946, east of Denison, KS, the daughter of Leland Matthew “Lee” and Juneva Sarah (Johnston) Edwards.

Lynn graduated from Valley Falls High School. In her early years, Lynn was a homemaker. She worked for 12 years at Oldham- Sausage in Holton and for over 22 years, she owned and operated Jerome Liquor Store, alongside her husband, Kenny. Retiring in 2018.

She married James E. Nichols, to this union are her 4 children. They later divorced.

Lynn married Kenny R. Jerome on November 16, 1990 in Oskaloosa, KS; they celebrated over 32 years of marriage.

Survivors include her husband, Kenny of the home; 2 sons, Tony Nichols (Penny) of Topeka, KS and Terry Nichols (Debbie) of Valley Falls, KS; daughter, Teresa Lassiter (Barry) of Valley Falls, KS; sister, Dixie L. Bomhoff of Topeka, KS; 14 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Juneva Edwards; son, Travis Nichols and brother, Leland Edwards.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Lynn will lie in state beginning Thursday afternoon and Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
