David Keith Hug, 60, of Hoyt, KS, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at his home with family by his side. He was born July 16, 1963 in Topeka, KS, the son of Keith Hug and Judy J. (Nott) O’Gorman.

David graduated from Royal Valley High School in 1981. He was a self-employed farmer and stockman all of his life.

Survivors include his father, Keith Hug of Mayetta, KS; 2 daughters, Mandy Phillips (Paul) of Hoyt, KS and Lauren Hug of Topeka, KS; 2 granddaughters, Mallory and Abby; his significant other, Terri Johnson of the home; 3 brothers, Dean Hug (Robbin) of Hoyt, KS, Dwayne Hug (Pauletta) of Mayetta, and Douglas Hug (Alecia) of Mayetta, KS and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy O’Gorman on June 11, 2023.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 1, 2023 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow at the Mayetta Cemetery.
