Lonnie Dale Lovell, 73, of Holton, KS passed away, Wednesday January 3, 2024 at Medicalodges of Jackson County in Holton. He was born December 7, 1950 in St. Claire, IL, the son of Kermit E. and Agusta Mae (Stephenson) Lovell.

Lonnie attended Cassville High School and later received his GED. He also completed college courses required to attain his trucking license. Lonnie mainly worked as an over the road truck driver from 1989 - 2005. Other jobs included working as a driver for the ambulance service and as a reserve deputy for the Jackson County Sheriff's office.

Lonnie was a proud member of the Missouri Army National Guard. He was a member of the Holton VFW Post #1367, Lutheran Layman League, Barry County Missouri 4H and the Trinity Lutheran Church.

He enjoyed raising Hereford cattle and hogs growing up. Lonnie was an active Boy Scout obtaining his Eagle Scout Award. His other hobbies included fishing, hunting, all things NASCAR/Racing and playing snooker.

Lonnie married Carol Ann Bohnenkemper on October 20, 1973 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton. The celebrated over 50 years of marriage.

Survivor include his Wife, Carol of the home; a son, Ron Lovell of Denison, KS; a daughter, Malinda Gaston (Cody) of Holton, KS; 8 grandchildren, Brittany (Colten), Clint, Timmithy, Larissa, Ashleigh, Autum, Jeffery and Noah; 4 great grandchildren, Carter, Jayden, Grantley and Dominic; siblings, Debbie Frazier, Charles Aldridge, Mike Frazier, and brother-in-law, Steven Bohnenkemper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Karen Champeau.

Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Holton. Family will greet friends one hour prior to service time.
