Gary L. Hegwood, 83, of Lancaster, KS, died January 6, 2024, at his home.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Lancaster, Kansas, with Pastor Peter Rehwaldt officiating the service. Burial will follow at Lancaster Cemetery following the service at church. Gary was born on April 21, 1940, in Columbia, Iowa, the son of Harold and Lucille (Moon) Hegwood. He married Donna Harden on July 11, 1975, and she survives at the home. He served in the United States Air Force, with a rank of Master Sergeant. Gary enjoyed many things such as motorcycles, golf, flying, skiing, fishing, reading, watching sports and doing puzzles. But most of all he enjoyed time with his wife & family.

Gary is survived by his wife, sons; Timothy (Jennifer) Hegwood, Brent (Kris) Duncan, Jeffrey (Armonda) Hegwood, daughter; Janey (John) Barker, fifteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and sister, Jackie (Alan) Nielsen. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Ronnie L. Hegwood and sister, Marilyn Hegwood.
