Raymond R. Moler, 70, of Hiawatha, died Tuesday morning, April 2, 2024 at Anew Health Care & Rehabilitation in Hiawatha.

Raymond was born at Hiawatha, November 19, 1953, one of two children born to Ray and Maude Josephine Jenkins Moler and had lived most of his life in Hiawatha where he attended school. He and his wife Mary moved to Omaha, Nebraska a few years before returning to Hiawatha. To this union four children were born. Raymond worked for Abitibi-Price in Hiawatha several years prior to working at the Golden Eagle Casino of rural Horton in housekeeping ten years before retiring.

Ramond had several hobbies: collecting cars and eagles, watching WWE wrestling, and loved to play pool. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his family.

Survivors include three daughters: Melissa Moler, Sondra Moler, and Rhonda Moler, a sister Sue Ann Moler; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife & best friend Mary, and son Marcus.

The family will meet with friends from 6 until 7:30 Friday evening, April 5, at Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha. Burial will be at later date at Powhattan Cemetery.

The Raymond Moler Memorial Fund has been established and may be left in care of the funeral home.
