Margaret "Leann" Goth

Margaret "Leann" Goth, 61, of Hiawatha, Ks. passed away on April 12, 2024 with family by her side at her home.

She was born May 17, 1962, in Holton, Ks. to Albert Lee, Sr. and Betty Ann (Farley) Olds in Holton, KS. She was the oldest of six children.

Margaret attended Colorado and Central Elementary School, Holton, KS. and Jackson Heights, Holton, KS. and Royal Valley High School, Hoyt, KS. graduating early in December 1981.

Margaret joined the Kansas Army National Guard and was attached to the 714th Maintenance Company in Topeka, KS. She traveled to Germany in February 1986. While there they lived in Tent City and it snowed 20 out of the 23 days. Upon her return she was honorably discharged.

Margaret enjoyed bowling, fishing, camping, crocheting, quilting, crafting, and spending time with her family. She enjoyed having crafting parties with her family and friends. Last Christmas she made each grandchild an Advent Calendar.

Margaret was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, Holton, KS. She was a waitress, hostess, truck driver, and recently the Hospitality cook at Best Western in Hiawatha, KS.

Margaret married Rodney Lynn Goodman, March 19, 1984, in Holton, KS. They were divorced in 2002.

Margaret married William "Billy" Carter, April 15, 2006, in Hiawatha, KS. He preceded her in death.

Margaret married Jesse Goth, August 31, 2014 in Michigan Valley, KS. at the lake. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include sons, Cody (Sam) Olds, Buffalo, MO; Zack Goodman, St. Joseph, MO; daughter, Jessie (Matt) Monohan, Holton, KS; sisters, Cindy Ackerman, Goff, KS; Alberta (Joe) Tate, Pomona, KS; brothers, Cecil Olds, Holton, KS; Alvie Olds, Wichita, KS; 13 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 9 nieces and nephews, 15 great- nieces and nephews, 7 Aunts, 4 Uncles, many cousins, and friends that became family.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Albert Jr.; 3 nephews, and a granddaughter.

Mrs. Goth has been cremated under the care of Rupp Funeral Home, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life is planned for May 8, 2024 at the Hiawatha City Lake, Hiawatha, KS from 530 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held May 9, 2024 at the Holton Cemetery, Holton, KS. at 2:00 p.m.
