Evelyn R. Auxier, 95, of Falls City, NE, passed away December 16, 2024 at Falls City. She was born August 8, 1929 at Falls City to Albert and Clara (Werner) Gruber.

She married William Auxier on March 1, 1952 at Falls City. He passed away July 30, 1998.

Evelyn was raised in rural Falls City and graduated from Falls City High School in 1947. She went on to attend college for 1 year and then returned to Falls City where she worked at First National Bank. When married the couple made their home on a farm in rural Dawson, NE where she was a homemaker and farm wife. She moved to Beatrice in 2011 to be near her daughter, returning to Falls City in 2021 where she has lived since. She enjoyed gardening and was actively involved in performing music at her church, both as a soloist and in the choir. She was a member of Grace Bible Fellowship and taught Sunday School. She was also a 4-H leader.

Evelyn is survived by her children, David and his wife Mary of Dawson, Ruth Wells and her husband Greg of Beatrice, NE, granddaughter, April Barnes and her husband Paul of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Albert Gruber.

Her service will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Grace Bible Fellowship Church. Interment will be in Heim Cemetery.
