Lonnie E. Blevins, 55, of Falls City was born on July 30, 1969, in Humboldt, Nebraska. He was the youngest of 8 children born to Frederick Jr. and Lillie (West) Blevins. Lonnie was raised in Falls City where he attended public school. He graduated from Falls City High School with the class of 1987. While in high school, Lonnie was an outstanding athlete, especially in football. Shortly after graduating high school, he moved to Emporia, Kansas and worked for IBP and MODINES. One of Lonnie's greatest joys while living in Emporia was joining the Jaycees' and volunteering at the Kansas Jaycees' Cerebral Palsy Ranch.

Lonnie cherished and loved his family and the time over the years shared together. He was a loving brother and dear friend who was willing to help anyone at any time. Lonnie was an avid football fan as well. He loved his Nebraska Cornhusker and Dallas Cowboys football teams and had a passion for mentoring youth in football. Lonnie enjoyed being outdoors, collecting guns, visiting the Amish Community in Jamesport, Missouri, and playing Bingo on Wednesdays with his close friends. Lonnie lived in Falls City most of his life and entered hospice care at his sister's home in Falls City. It was there that he passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025, surrounded by his loving sisters and his dearest friend and beloved dog, Ruger. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Charlotte Sue Blevins and Trudy Nissen, and his nephew Preston Twitty.

Lonnie is survived by his brother Fred Blevins III and wife Paula of Savannah, MO; sisters: Lillie VanWey and husband Randy of Dawson, NE; Trish Tackett of Beatrice, NE; Starlyn Ramsey and husband Dan of Dawson, NE; Rosa Windle and husband Scott of Falls City, NE; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at the Church of the Nazarene, 1812 Wilson Street in Falls City, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Farley officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the Hall Funeral Home, 2403 Harlan Street in Falls City. Family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Interment will be at the Prairie Union Cemetery in rural Shubert, Nebraska.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family's choice with a later local designation.
